Guidance on grant fundamentals, eligibility, and process, drawn from government and open-licensed sources, with a chatbot that answers questions from the same library.

This library brings together guidance on nonprofit funding fundamentals: how federal grant eligibility and compliance work, how the grants lifecycle proceeds from notice to award to reporting, how nonprofit tax-exempt status and reporting obligations function, and related topics drawn primarily from government publications and open-licensed educational sources.

Material in this library is organized by topic and format so staff can find guidance relevant to where they currently are in the funding process, whether that is understanding basic eligibility terminology, learning how a specific federal reporting requirement works, or reviewing general nonprofit sector guidance from established sector organizations.

Sourcing for this library follows a strict rule: government and public-domain publications, and openly licensed educational material, are presented in full where their license permits it, always with the publisher and source named. Material from associations, research organizations, and other third parties that does not carry an open license is presented as a summary with a link to the original, never republished in full without permission.

Alongside the library, Benavora Assist is a chatbot that answers questions from this same library of sourced material. It cites the source document and publisher for every answer it gives, refuses to offer legal or tax determinations and instead points to the relevant source document, and is scoped to answer from this library rather than general web knowledge. Assist does not have access to any specific organization's private data on this public site; that scoped, organization-specific version of Assist is available separately inside the platform for logged-in staff.

This library is expected to grow over time as more source material is added and as additional interactive tools, such as calculators and checklists built from the same guidance, are introduced. What is here today reflects the current state of that ongoing library, not a finished, static reference.
